CholesterolWe know that high levels of blood cholesterol
can lead to blocked arteries.
Cholesterol is one of the fats in our blood, which the body uses to make
among other things, vitamin D and hormones.
There are two main types of cholesterol. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol
known as bad cholesterol. LDLs tend to
deposit cholesterol in the artery walls, leading to atherosclerosis and an
increased risk of heart disease. High
levels of LDL increase a patient’s risk for coronary artery disease and a heart
attack. High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol
known as good cholesterol. HDLs collect
cholesterol from the artery walls and other tissues and take it to the liver to
be metabolized and eliminated from the body.
The higher the levels of HDL the better for your overall health. Nutritional Support Homeopathy |
