Influenza H1N1 Patient Information
Watch CBC coverage about Homeopathy and its effectiveness against the seasonal flu and H1N1 The 2009-2010 Influenzinum blend as per usual is prepared from the seasonal flu vaccine. This does not mean that is should be considered a "homoeopathic vaccine," which is an inappropriate and completely inaccurate term.
The 2009-2010 blend will be composed of: A/Brisbane/59/2007 H1N1 (same as in 2008-2009) -- WARNING: This is not the same type of A(H1N1) as the pandemic strain. A/Brisbane/10/2007 H3N2 (same as in 2008-2009) B/Brisbane/60/2008 (new since 2008-2009)
The Influenzinum blend (homeopathic preparation) is currently available to coincide with the season flu vaccine from which it is prepared and is a safer option for all ages of patients. We currently will not be marketing a dilution of the pandemic vaccine for regulatory considerations that make it impossible to register such a strain. The announced release date for the pandemic influenza vaccine is mid-October.
Some Canadian provinces will modify their vaccination program, and will postpone the vaccination against seasonal flu at the beginning of 2010. A reason for this change is based on studies (that are not published yet) which show that season flu vaccines would increase the risk of an infection by H1N1. Since Influenzinum is not a vaccine but a Homeopathic dilution prepared from the yearly flu vaccine, Influenzinum is not concerned by the warning. If you have any further questions or would like to order the 2009-2010 Influenzinum/Thymuline blend please contact the clinic directly at 780.459.5996 U.S. Homeopathic regulation regarding the H1N1 flu
